It’s been a full and fast-paced six months here at Bring Back Big Families. Between swimming pool clean-ups, late-night reflections, and a deep dive into what it really means to be a strong dad, I’ve covered a lot of ground lately.
The Dad Strong series unpacked the four pillars of strength—physical, mental, spiritual, and intellectual—and how they play out in the daily grind of fatherhood. Meanwhile, my Random Musings have captured my more random family thoughts and moments. It hasn’t been easy to keep up with at times (six kids, after all. Have I mentioned that?), but I’ve enjoyed every single post and every single reflection on my family.
I’ve written indirectly about what it means to build a home, not structurally, but emotionally, a real home, one that my kids will hopefully be able to look back on when they’re older and smile thinking of all of the love and memories we shared here. It’s not perfect, but I like to think it’s ours and theirs.
I’ve shared wins and missteps, loves and annoyances, memories and tips, faith and doubts, and on more than one occasion over the last six months or so, I’ve just stared at the keyboard hoping some wisdom would show up. (Spoiler: it sometimes does.)
If you’ve been following along, thank you. If you’re new here, welcome to the mess and the magic. All I can say is cheers to the next six months!

As always with a big family, there’s plenty more to come…
