We’re a family of eight navigating the beautiful chaos of big-family life—stick around for real stories, practical systems, and tools to help you thrive as a dad.
Bring Back Big Families is for overwhelmed dads building a steady home with a lot of kids (3–7 young ones, typically): married guys in their 30s–40s, stretched thin between work, home, and everything in between, who want to lead with calm authority, shake off impatience guilt, and grab simple routines that fit your real life—no personality overhauls required.
Large families are a rare choice these days—something only a small percentage of U.S. households experience—but I don’t want the “Big Family Club” to feel exclusive or intimidating. There are plenty of misconceptions out there about what it’s like to raise five or more kids, and I’ve heard every snicker, sneer, and doubtful comment imaginable, even from my own relatives. What I aim to do here is cut through that noise: share honest glimpses into our everyday wins and wipeouts to show the real beauty, normalcy, and joy in big-family living. We’re just regular people tackling laundry mountains, sibling squabbles, and bedtime battles—proving it’s not as crazy as it sounds, and maybe even inspiring more families to embrace it.
But this isn’t just my journal—it’s your field guide. Drawing from almost thirteen years of experience as a husband and dad, and seven months (and counting) of trenches-tested experience as a husband and father of six, I’ll turn our stories into reader-ready insights: honest product reviews and recommendations to help with your “inconveniences,” quick scripts for de-escalating meltdowns, marriage check-ins that work when you’re both exhausted, budget hacks and recipes for feeding a crowd, and leadership tweaks that build family culture without turning you into a drill sergeant.
Whether you’re already in the club or curious about joining, welcome to Bring Back Big Families—where we normalize the extraordinary, equip dads to level up, and prove that more kids can mean more life, not more stress.
