Thirty Six: Thank You, Veterans – From a Dad of Many

On this Veteran’s Day 2025:

To every man and woman who has put on the uniform in the past or wears it proudly today: thank you. You stood watch so my wife and I could fill our house with noise, with kids running wild, with dinner table chaos, with bedtime prayers that actually get said out loud. Without your sacrifice, none of that happens.

Sure, America isn’t perfect. Just flip on the TV and you’ll see we’ve got plenty of cracks—government shutdowns, political violence, culture wars, religious hate, you name it. But here’s the thing: those cracks are proof the foundation is still solid. Because of you, I get to raise my crew in a country where we can argue, fix, and keep moving forward freely. No knock on the door at midnight. No fear that speaking my mind costs me my family.

That freedom isn’t free. You paid the price.

So from one loud, blessed household to every veteran who might be reading this: we see you, we honor you, and we’re raising the next generation to do the same.

God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America.
