Huge shout out to one of my favorite new bloggers, Mama on the Move. She wrote a blog recently called, Books Valeria Loves (and We Read on Repeat), and I enjoyed her review of three of her family’s favorite books, so I figured I give a quick review of one all of my kids (and myself!) are enjoying thoroughly.
Wonders of the World

We kicked off the new year with something special: a 31-day trip around the world… without leaving our living room!
Ok, not really. But sort of. I’ll explain.
The book, Wonders of the World, is the book we are using to travel the world for less than $20! It takes you to 31 different historic locations all over the world (we just finished the New Seven Wonder of the World tonight with a trip to Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro). The images are absolutely beautiful, and the history of each place is incredibly cool!

My two-year-old is a bit young to fully get it, but our crew from ages 4 to 12 is completely hooked. We do one wonder per night as a family read-aloud, and it’s become the highlight of bedtime (bedtime with six kids coming soon, maybe?).
Highly recommend for any family that loves history, geography, or just cozy learning together.
And for parents, it’s actually pretty cool learning little tidbits about some of the most famous places and monuments around the world (did you know that the Christ the Redeemer statue is covered in thousands of triangular-shaped soapstone tiles that were glued to fabric panels before being glued to the statue? Well, now you do, too!).

It’s a solid 10/10 for our family. We’re only about a third of the way through, and I’m already sad it’ll end!
If you grab a copy and start your own mini world tour, drop a comment below—I’d love to hear which wonder your kids are obsessed with!
